Technology and Children

Today I came across an interesting article on how parenting is being affected in an ever-increasingly cyber-centric world. While technology is wonderful in simplifying our lives and extending your reach, too much can be detrimental to development in children. I have several nieces and nephews who literally cannot go anywhere without an iPad or Gameboy. In turn, they rarely socialize or say more than a couple words at a time, and sit by themselves at most family outings. I cant help but think they are going to have a lot of trouble with communication and socialization as they get older. As parents, we need to control the amount of screen time our kids get so they can go out and interact with the real world. For more ideas on technology control for your kids, read the article here.

Sending Your Child With Allergies To Camp

If you’ve got a child with allergies, especially serious ones, you know how worrisome it can be sending them out that front screen door. Relax. Keep school and camp staff aware of your child’s allergies with custom bag tags and clothing labels that feature allergy alert.

Labeling All Your Needs

When children are young, they tend to be with us all the time and we are generally in charge of making sure that things are kept in order. Of course, it also can be very helpful both for you and for your children to start teaching them how to handle the responsibility of picking up after themselves at a young age as well.
